The Bruz multi-site urban development zone (ZAC) is mobilizing seven sites to intensify the city by recycling its brownfield land. This urban renewal aims to seamlessly integrate new housing into existing neighborhoods and the wider landscape of southern Rennes, characterized by rolling hills and the wet valleys of the Vilaine and Seiche rivers. The project extends the existing network of parks and alleyways throughout each neighborhood. The sites are thus linked within an overall urban coherence, thanks to complementary programs, soft mobility axes, and large landscape continuities.
