“Are hedgerows the remnants of a lost peasant civilization or the emblem of an ecological society to come?” Léo Magnin, La vie sociale des haies (The Social Life of Hedgerows), 2024

This master plan envisages the development of a residential neighborhood on a wooded hillside offering exceptional views of the Crozon peninsula. Given the heritage value of the wooded landscape, several areas have been designated as protected zones. The residential developments, built off-site, are delicately integrated into the “wooded alcoves” without altering the network of hedges. These alcoves form the basic unit of the urban project and define the scale of proximity for each neighborhood. The hedgerow infrastructure is expanding and extending into neighboring neighborhoods, structuring both a vast network of soft mobility and a runoff capture grid. #cut
